A fully affordable development in Witney
At Springfield Oval in Witney, BREE Construction, then trading as Partner Construction, delivered 73 affordable homes for Platform Housing in West Oxfordshire. The scheme was brought forward as 100 per cent affordable, securing a full quota of homes for local people at a time when affordable supply across Oxfordshire was under acute pressure. The development took the name Springfield Oval and was delivered in full as affordable housing, a notable achievement in a district where the gap between local wages and open-market prices had pushed homeownership out of reach for many households.
The development began life under the Waterloo Homes and Waterloo Housing brand before the group's rebrand to Platform, and the scheme carried through to completion as part of that wider affordable programme. Marketed under the Springfield Oval name, it offered a route to homeownership for households who had been priced out of the open market in West Oxfordshire.

Homes and tenure
Springfield Oval provided a mix of homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, helping a range of households take their first step onto the housing ladder. Platform Home Ownership listed the development among its shared-ownership locations, reflecting the scheme's role in making the dream of homeownership a reality for first-time buyers in the area.
The 73-home scheme drew on a delivery team that included specialist subcontractors such as NAR Carpentry, whose package supported the build. Land agents involved in bringing the site forward recorded Springfield Oval as a fully affordable scheme delivered in partnership with the housing association.

Partnership delivery
The scheme reflected the long working relationship between the contractor and the housing association through its Waterloo and Platform identities. Work began on site following the partnership announcement, and the completed development added a substantial body of affordable family housing to Witney, supporting the town's growth while keeping the homes within reach of local households.
