A 33.5 million pound contract in West Oxfordshire
BREE Construction secured a 33.5 million pound contract from Platform Housing to deliver 200 new affordable homes at Milestone Road in Carterton, Oxfordshire. The award, made in June 2022, set in motion a single-family housing scheme that directly addresses housing need in West Oxfordshire and represents one of BREE's larger affordable programmes in the South East.
Following the contract award, work began on site to deliver the new affordable homes, with the development programmed to run through to 2026. The scheme sits within West Oxfordshire District Council's wider strategy for the right homes in the right places, and is supported by Section 106 contributions associated with growth in the district.
Building out the Carterton scheme
Construction is under way at the Milestone Road site, which is registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with Platform Housing Group as client and Oxfordshire as the county authority. The 200 homes are being built out as a single-family housing development, providing a substantial block of new affordable housing for the town of Carterton.
