A Platform Housing scheme at Broad Lea
At Oldbury Road in Worcester, BREE Construction delivered 24 affordable homes for Platform Housing, a 3 million pound scheme built between 2019 and 2021. Constructed on land off Broad Lea in the WR2 area of the city, the development was brought forward with the registered provider, originally known as Fortis Living before becoming part of Platform Housing.
The homes were delivered for affordable and shared-ownership tenures, providing two and three-bedroom properties for local people. The completion was announced alongside other Platform developments in Worcester during the same period.
Affordable housing for Worcester
The scheme contributed to Platform Housing's programme of new affordable and social housing across the West Midlands, adding family-sized homes in a part of Worcester where demand for affordable tenures remains strong.
As an early land-led affordable scheme of modest scale, Oldbury Road shows BREE's long-standing role delivering homes for registered providers in the region. The completed development provides ownership and rental options that broaden housing choice for households in west Worcester.
