Shepherd's Gate for Orbit Homes
At Campden Road in Shipston-on-Stour, BREE Construction supported Orbit Homes in delivering 65 new affordable homes under the Shepherd's Gate name. The 12 million pound scheme grew out of a planning application for the Campden Road site, and was brought forward as part of Orbit's affordable housing programme in Warwickshire, with BREE, then Partner Construction, appointed to deliver the homes.
Delivered between 2021 and 2023, Shepherd's Gate offered homes including through shared ownership, opening routes to home ownership for first-time buyers and growing families. The scheme was prepared and progressed within the wider affordable housing development programme supported by Stratford-on-Avon District Council.
Homes and handover
Marketing for Shepherd's Gate launched with a sales brochure in the spring of 2023 as the homes came to completion, with buyers using shared ownership to step onto the housing ladder at a development designed to be a place to grow. The shared-ownership offer proved well suited to first-time buyers seeking a foothold in the area.
Handover delivered a well-located group of affordable family homes to Shipston-on-Stour, adding to the supply of housing for local people in this Warwickshire market town. Shepherd's Gate reflects BREE's continuing work with Orbit Homes across the West Midlands, taking a scheme from planning application through construction to occupied, attractive homes for the community.
