Appointment for Prescot
Carr Lane in Prescot is a 21 million pound affordable housing scheme in Knowsley that BREE Construction is delivering for Plus Dane Housing. The development will provide 88 new affordable homes, helping to meet local housing need in this part of the North West and supporting the continued growth of the town.
Plus Dane appointed BREE for the scheme in March 2025, following the acquisition of the Carr Lane site, on which LSH advised. With planning consent granted by Knowsley Council in October 2024, the 88 homes were confirmed for Prescot, and the appointment was welcomed as a significant addition to affordable housing in the borough.
What the scheme will deliver
The 88 homes will provide quality affordable housing for Prescot, supporting Plus Dane's commitment to delivering homes that local people can afford. The scheme will contribute to the renewal of the area and add to the supply of affordable homes available to households in Knowsley.
By bringing forward a well-located site for affordable housing, the development will help meet demand in a part of the North West where there is a clear need for new homes, reflecting the close working relationship between BREE and Plus Dane Housing.
Programme
Construction is due to start on site in late 2025, with the new homes expected to be available from 2027. From site acquisition and planning consent through to construction, the scheme is being delivered in partnership with Plus Dane Housing, whose wider role as a provider of homes across the North West it supports.
Once complete, Carr Lane will add 88 affordable homes to Prescot, providing places for local people to live and contributing to the ongoing development of the surrounding area.
