Saredon Road for Housing Plus

At Saredon Road in Cheslyn Hay, Staffordshire, BREE Construction, then trading as Partner Construction, delivered 60 new homes for Housing Plus Group, with the land deal brought forward by Development Worx. The 11 million pound scheme combined affordable housing with open-market sale, drawing in several of the group's delivery and sales brands across the development.

The homes were constructed under BREE's M044 Cheslyn Hay site, which ran from early 2021 to the autumn of 2022 on the WS6 7JQ site off Saredon Road. The Development Worx land deal fed the scheme to Partner Construction and Housing Plus, providing the route by which the site came forward for housing.

A mixed-tenure community

The completed homes were brought to market through more than one route. Severn Homes offered shared-ownership properties on behalf of Housing Plus Group, while County Town Homes marketed the open-market homes under the Cheslyn Park name, confirming 60 homes delivered in collaboration with the construction team. This combination gave buyers and shared owners a genuine choice of ways to move into the new neighbourhood.

By blending affordable and open-market homes on a single site, the Saredon Road scheme created a balanced, mixed-tenure community in Cheslyn Hay. The development sat alongside other Housing Plus Group schemes in the village and supported the group's wider affordable housing ambitions in the West Midlands, with BREE delivering the homes that underpinned both the rented and shared-ownership and the open-market sale offers.

A balanced scheme for the West Midlands

By creating a mixed-tenure neighbourhood rather than a single-tenure estate, the Saredon Road development served a broad range of buyers and shared owners. Sitting alongside other Housing Plus Group schemes in the village, it supported the group's affordable ambitions in the West Midlands while making efficient use of a single, well-located site.
