BREE Construction awarded £9.2m contract with Future Housing Group to construct affordable homes in Northampton

BREE Construction (formerly United Living) is pleased to announce its subsidiary, BREE Construction has been successful in acquiring land and securing a build contract worth £9.2 million to construct 38 affordable houses in Northampton.

The contract is with Futures Housing Group, a non-profit business that provides tens of thousands of affordable housing properties across the UK. The Group prides itself on reinvesting its profits into building high-quality housing, and emphasises innovation, opportunities, and support to help tackle financial exclusion.

The houses will be located on Central Avenue, Northampton, and the 18-month long project will comprise 20 social rent and 18 shared ownership properties. The houses will be a mixture of 2 and 3-bed homes and are part of a wider initiative to remediate Northampton's critical social housing shortage.

We are delighted to have been awarded this contract to help Futures construct 38 affordable homes. Northampton is currently experiencing a social housing shortage, and we are pleased to be able to create accessible, safe and comfortable accommodations to help address these local needs. Futures is an organisation that shares BREE Construction's values on sustainability, affordable housing, and utilising profits for purpose. By reinvesting profits into people and businesses, this partnership aims not only to construct social housing but make a meaningful impact on the communities in which we operate.

Lindsey Williams, Group Chief Executive of Futures said: "It's no secret there's a housing shortage and annually there is a shortfall in the number of new homes being built to those required.

"Therefore, bringing much needed homes to people in Northamptonshire, by working together with BREE Construction is very much part of Futures core purpose. Developing new, affordable homes is a key priority for Futures and I look forward to seeing the homes developed over the next few years."
