The next phase at Points Cross
The Guinness Partnership appointed BREE Construction to build Block C at Points Cross in Leeds, a 47 million pound affordable housing scheme. The block provides 185 shared-ownership homes, combining apartments with a smaller number of townhouses, extending the Points Cross regeneration on the city's South Bank and completing the wider development.
Designed by DK Architects, with structural engineering by Rosco and groundworks by 4D Structures, the block adds a further shared-ownership offer to the development. The homes are brought to market by Guinness Homes through a dedicated launch aimed at buyers seeking an affordable route into central Leeds. As the next phase of the wider Points Cross development, Block C builds on the affordable apartments delivered in the earlier phase, extending the regeneration of this part of the South Bank.
Shared-ownership living
The 185 homes combine apartments with a smaller number of townhouses, giving buyers a choice of layouts within a central Leeds setting. The launch of the block has broadened access to home ownership in a location close to the city centre.
Civils works were carried out by Clancy, with basement car-park waterproofing forming part of the works package on the development. The block sits alongside the earlier affordable apartments at Points Cross, completing the mixed affordable and shared-ownership offer across the scheme.
Towards completion
Work runs from 2022 to 2026. The block reached its topping-out milestone, and construction has since neared completion as the homes have been finished and prepared for launch.
Block C completes the affordable and shared-ownership homes that have taken shape across Points Cross, bringing the final phase of the development to residents in Leeds. A dedicated Guinness Homes microsite supports the launch, presenting the shared-ownership homes to prospective buyers. The block represents the culmination of the affordable and shared-ownership delivery that BREE has carried out at Points Cross for The Guinness Partnership.
